Kristen Kerr’s career in catering and event planning has spanned three states (KY, VA and OH) and a wide variety of upscale events and functions.

From corporate meetings, to weddings, holiday parties and fundraisers, Her keen understanding of the business covers audiovisual coordination, team leadership and full-service catering and event sales and planning.

With names such as Marriott and Annette’s Catering (#1 caterer in Lexington, KY) on her resume, Kerr has built a career around her passion for creating memorable events.   And, her keen understanding of the business and emotional aspects of planning an event allow clients to truly enjoy their experience. She also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from University of Findlay.
 

Leighton A. Nembhard

Event Manager

Event Manager Leighton A. Nembhard brings more than 25 years of hospitality experience to Fusion Catering. He began his extensive hospitality career working on luxury ships for cruise lines including Royal Caribbean and Carnival.

Over time, Leighton has mastered his skills and industry expertise by working in all job capacities. This knowledge allows him to be an empathetic manager with an unwavering dedication to detail and excellent customer service.

Originally from Jamaica, Leighton married Denise on October 12, 1991, and has a son, Anthony. Leighton enjoys fishing, hunting, soccer and, as a trained electrician, home improvement projects. He has an unwavering love for his family and his faith.

Ann Balut

Director of Catering

With more than 11 years in the hospitality business, Ann Balut brings a wealth of food and beverage experience to Fusion. She has served as Director of Catering at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for the past 5 years, and prior to that spent three years in a similar position at the Holiday Inn Metroplex. In that time, she has planned countless events for groups from 10 to more than 1,000.

Ann is proud to be a Certified Meeting Professional, a Convention Industry Council designation. She received this highly regarded industry designation for having met high standards of proficiency in meeting management, as demonstrated by substantial professional experience and superior examination performance.
