
Chef Adam Harms
As Executive Chef, Adam Harms has been integral in the formation of Fusion, lending his unique talents and experience to the creation of banquet menus and special events.
Chef Harms graduated cum laude from Sullivan College in Louisville, Kentucky with a degree in Culinary Arts. He has also obtained certification in Foodservice Sanitation, Hospitality Management, T.I.P.S., OSHA, WOW and Florida "SafeStaff." Chef Harms served as Executive Chef for the Clarion Hotel (formerly Wyndham) in Dublin, Ohio and as the Executive Sous Chef for the Columbus Marriott North. In addition, he has served as the Sauté Chef for California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort in Orlando, Florida.
In his dual role as Executive Chef for the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Chef Harms oversees food service for all catering, banquet and special events for the hotel. A member of the Crowne Plaza staff since October 2004, Chef Harms has over 10 years experience in the restaurant and hospitality industry.
During his career, Chef Harms has traveled throughout the United States and has worked with nationally and internationally known chefs. When he is not working on perfecting his culinary skills, Chef Harms also volunteers with the Big Brothers/Big Sisters organization.
Ann Balut, Director of Catering
With more than 11 years in the hospitality business, Ann Balut brings a
wealth of food and beverage experience to Fusion. She has served as
Director of Catering at the Crowne Plaza Hotel for the past 5 years,
and prior to that spent three years in a similar position at the
Holiday Inn Metroplex. In that time, she has planned countless events
for groups from 10 to more than 1000.
Ann is proud to be a Certified Meeting Professional, a Convention Industry Council designation. She received this highly regarded industry designation for having met high standards of proficiency in meeting management as demonstrated by substantial professional experience and superior examination performance.
Leighton A. Nembhard, Event Manager
Banquet Manager Leighton A. Nembhard, brought 25 years of hospitality
experience to the Crowne Plaza. He began his career working on luxury
ships for such cruise lines as Royal Caribbean and Carnival.
Leighton developed his skills and knowledge of the business from the ground up, working in all job capacities. This knowledge allows him to be an empathetic manager, yet still have a dedication to detail and excellent customer service.
Originally from Jamaica, Leighton married Denis on October 12, 1991, and has a son, Anthony. Leighton enjoys fishing, hunting, soccer and, as a trained electrician, home improvement projects. He has an unwavering love for his family and his faith. |
